Protec Surface Technologies is proud to report that renovation works of its headquarters in Italy have been completed.
The renovation project looks forward to grow and to widen the PVD machines production capacity.
In fact, the new production area is capable to accommodate 4 or more PVD machines assembly at the same time.
A new special area for in-line PVD machine assembly has been realized as well.
Moreover, a new Lab area with dedicated PVD-PECVD hybrid machine and two surface activation lines has been realized.
Protec S.T. invested in new design and technical assistance offices and in a bigger spare parts warehouse and the whole building has been renewed and enlarged.
From the 12th to the 15th of September in São Paulo (Brazil) will take place EBRATS 2018 – Brazilian Meeting and Exposition of Surface Treatments.
EBRATS was created in 1979 and it is an important triennial event concerning the Surface Coatings sector.
Protec Surface Technologies will be there and will present its latest news at booth number 3015. In particular, Protec S.T. will illustrate the new PVD machine Powerflex 1500 CR and the new PVD coating called ABACO, the last innovation for everlasting antibacterial thin film coatings.

Protec Surface Technologies participated in the two days SVC TechCon Exhibition in Orlando, Florida, on the 8th and the 9th of May.
At its booth n. 233, Protec S.T. presented the new Powerflex CR 1500, a high performances machine using PVD technologies, useful for high productivity with large size objects (for example faucets and bathroom accessories) in decorative PVD applications.
Another innovation presented is Protec new DLC, an innovative coating family with high Carbon sp3 bonds (diamond like carbon) based on a new PVD-PECVD hardware and special precursor that can be offered in many different solutions depending on the application.
Protec Surface Technologies exhibited at Surtech 2018 (Surface Finishing Exhibition) in Tokyo from the 14th to the 16th of February with the aim of presenting its last developments.
Especially ABACO, the new PVD coating technology, generated a lot of interest among the visitors because of its innovative characteristic: its everlasting antibacterial properties are fundamental to inhibit the proliferation of pathogens which can cause infections.

On the occasion of a Workshop within the project ICAP “Innovazione tramite applicazioni combinate delle tecnologie al plasma“, Protec Surface Technologies will present a speech on the latest PVD technologies entitled ” The perfect combination for high durability eye frames: base material combined with deformation technology and vacuum coatings”.
