Our PVD and PECVD coating machines

Protec has been manufacturing PVD-PECVD machines for both decorative and technical applications and for security printing for more than twenty years.

All our machines are designed to be able to install different PVD & PECVD technologies (Cathodic Arc, Magnetron Sputtering, Plasma Beam Source etc.).

Powerflex 500 CG is a machine belonging to the Powerflex series, which has been specifically designed for advanced technical coatings such as those for micro-tools. This batch system is equipped with four evaporation sources and is capable of handling a wide range of applications, ensuring uniformity and exceptional performance required in the field of technical coatings. The PF500 CG plant is a compact and extremely flexible system, capable of producing durable coatings with excellent adhesion.
PF650 is a machine from the Powerflex CR series, but unlike PF1100 CR and PF1500 CR series, PF650 has been specially designed for technical coatings. Of course, decorative coatings are also possible. The Batch system can satisfy small production runs, providing the possibility of using various evaporation sources over the years, always ensuring perfect process control, exceptional uniformity and good tribological characteristics.
Two IPC models were designed to meet customer requirements based on productivity characteristics. The two systems, IPC 1100 and IPC 700, differ mainly in the chamber size and the technologies that can be installed. The environmentally friendly chrome-plating process is fully automated, using high-energy metal ions combined with a plasma environment in which a multilayer nano-film is deposited. Plates to be chrome-plated are loaded onto a patented rotating drum enclosed in a vacuum chamber with maintenance-free magnetic levitation vacuum pumps and ion evaporation sources.
Surface activation systems are available in various configurations, including automatic, semi-automatic, and manual. Each system is specifically designed for the preparation of components before the PVD process. Products can be surface activated either before mounting on frames or subsequently, once placed inside the PVD/PECVD system chamber.
Protec Surface Technologies designs and manufactures different systems to meet all customer needs, combining technical characteristics, evaporation technologies and productivity levels.
The Flexline machine is designed for thin film deposition on sheet metal and/or architectural glass for various applications (from constructions to lifts, interiors, urban design etc.). Flexline is made of stainless steel and can come in different sizes depending on customer needs. We can make Flexline machines with 2 to 5/10 chambers, one next to the other horizontally and vertically (tilted) with various dimensions.

PowerFlex 1100 CR is a compact “hybrid” high-vacuum coating system using PVD and PECVD technology. The technology, with the right plasma size for high productivity for medium to large objects, ensures perfect process control and exceptional uniformity.
Nanoflex 400 is a compact system designed for both decorative and technical applications. Nanoflex 400 belongs to the flexible machine series, optimised for the production of small and medium-sized objects. High flexibility is one of the most important features. In fact, different PVD and PECVD technologies can be installed: for example Cathodic Arc, Magnetron Sputtering (in different configurations, Balanced, Unbalanced, DMS, HiPiMS) and Plasma Beam Source.
DecoCoat is our machine for decorative applications based on state-of-the-art Cathodic Arc sources. A wide range of standard colours is available, but customised coatings can be designed according to specific customer requirements. A variety of materials can be coated: ferrous and non-ferrous metals (such as Steel, Stainless Steel, Titanium, Brass, Aluminium etc.), glass and crystal, ceramics and polymers.
PowerFlex 1500 CR is a high-vacuum coating system, using PVD and PECVD technologies with the right plasma size for high productivity on large objects, ensuring perfect process control and exceptional uniformity.
