Protec Surface Technology  plants are made according to the highest modernity and efficiency standards assuring easy and cheap usage, at the same time.
We have achieved know-how for many industrial appliance due to our long lasting experience in R&D and in managing plants, directly.
Protec Surface Technologies plants are engineered  for intensive usage and low maintenance costs.
Moreover, the possibility to integrate these plants with pre-treatment ones allows our machines to achieve the highest process control and the maximum quality results.
Protec Surface Technologies plants have been studied  to integrate different deposition technologies, among them CAE (cathodic arc erosion) and MS (magnetron sputtering) .
Nowadays, cathodic arc process is the most used in PVD coating field.
In this process the cathodic arc causes evaporation of the solid metal used in the process by being driven on the metal solid surface of a target.
Evaporated ionized metal re-combines with process gas forming a thin film deposit.
Instead, during magnetron sputtering process argon accelerated ions impact energically on a solid metal causing its evaporation by mechanical action. Also in this case evaporated metal recombines with process gas forming a thin film deposit.
Protec excellent deposit quality is due to many essential factors:

  • Arc source characteristics and performances especially for energy and results repeatability.
  • Magnetic field geometry and configuration made by magnetron sputtering sources which allow to deposit any metal or alloy
  • Innovative software which is the result of a long study with university and research institutes.
  • Process know-how regarding all mechanical, chemical, electrochemical and heat treatments used before PVD deposition resulting from years of experience in producing millions of items.
